I had just finished meditating on trying not to try, making an effort to make no effort, surrendering to the fact that I cannot surrender. All this is the ego trying to be spiritual. Then you come along and seem to say that I am on the right "track", crystallizing the ego's belief that it is actually doing something. Damn you! There is no where else! And if you're wishing or hoping to be doing something else or being elsewhere, then you're not even at the starter gates. I love that Trungpa book... and the question I always ask myself is - is there any more? Anything next? Anything else? If we say 'no', we're either lying to ourselves or... we're enlightened.
