		<description>Your essay reminds me of a wonderful conversation about metaphysics and our spiritual nature I had with a truck driver. As he was leaving his parting question was "Why is it so hard to find the center?" I answered "Because it's all center." 

Perhaps just as appropriate a response would have been "
Because you ARE the center."

The idea that we need some extraneous concept to tether ourselves to, be it an ideological, spiritual or even scientific belief is deeply ingrained in us. The very notion of letting these cornerstones of our ego structure go is terrifying, and yet, ultimately liberating once accomplished.
