Dalai Lama's visit to Mongolia

The Dalai Lama has visited Mongolia risking China's warning and objections. These were because the country does not want, the Lama propagating any  'anti- China separatist activities' in any country. Mongolia claimed that it was a purely religious visit. Crowds of monks and visitors and worshipers waited in the chilly cold of Mongolia to see the Dalai Lama.
This visit comes at a time when Mongolia seeks financial aid from China to save the country from financial recession.
China's Foreign Minister had asked the visit to be canceled. The Lama clearly declared that he had come to encourage Mongolia to use new-era education and scientific achievements to develop their country but also to hold on to their ethical traditions and moral values of respect to others.

The exiled leader and the person who is believed to be the incarnation of Buddha lives in India is 81 years old.
