When Kashmir creates a boxing record!

Eight year Tajamul Islam won the gold medal for India in the 'under eight' World Kick Boxing Championship held in Andria Italy. She won six games in five days leading her to the top. She won the sub-junior category last year in the National Kick- Boxing Championship in New Delhi. She is in Class two of the Army Goodwill school 65 kilometers away from Srinagar.
Around ninety countries participated and Tajamul beat her U.S. opponent in the finals to win a gold.
Chief Minister of Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti appreciated her and asked other children of the valley to draw inspiration from her. She presented her with a token of Rs. 1 lakh.
The First Lady Usha Vohra appreciated her too with a box of chocolates and Rs. 51,000 and assured her of all the help she needed to rise further in her career of boxing. Plus the Governor N. N. Vohra assured her coach Faisal Ali for help in his Academy and asked him to coach more children in the valley to help them reach new heights in championship.

It has been the year of the girl-child championship. Not to mention PV Sindhu still in the news.
